Girls gotta eat!

I began this blog to experience new fitness trends, challenge myself, and figure out what the heck people are into today! When I started I really thought I would hate blogging; feeling like I constantly had to post and be by my computer. I feel the total opposite.  While doing research for my own blog, I have been loving looking through others for ideas and inspiration. This gave me the idea to begin including other aspects of my day to day life than just the ever changing trends of the fitness industry. 

I decided I am going to start incorporating recipes, workout ideas, fun new workout songs, awesome websites, books and articles! What better way to get motivated and stay active then reading my blog and getting some ideas! If anyone has any other ideas about what I should include just leave a comment!

What better way to begin than to show you all the great new breakfast I discovered! It’s called Cookie Dough cereal and it was amazing and super easy! Here is the recipe:

1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I use Simply Vanilla by Syntrax Matrix… SOO yummy!)
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of sea salt
1 tsp of splenda brown sugar or sweetener

Mix together in a cereal bowl. Add 1-2tsp. of some sort of nut butter (almond, peanut, sunflower) and mash with a fork until incorporated. It will start to look like cookie dough crumbles! Add 1 cup of milk (almond, skim, soy) and top with fun treats like nuts (almonds, walnuts) and/or fruit (bananas, strawberries, blueberries).  It was delish 🙂
