It’s freezing outside.
I’m honestly a little nervous about this winter if this is how I am handling a 50 degree day.
But, I will light my “Harvest” candles, throw on a hoodie and drink a pumpkin beer to lessen the blow.
Speaking of pumpkin… I found something while flipping through the pages of the NASM Training Edge magazine today.
Power-Up Pumpkin Protein Smoothie

1/2 C canned pumpkin
1/2 C unsweetened almond milk (I used unsweetened vanilla)
1/2 C crushed ice
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon (I used pumpkin pie spice)
1 tbsp ground flax seeds (I omitted this because my tummy doesn’t digest flax well)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Matrix Simply Vanilla)
1 tbsp honey
Macros: depending on your protein powder of choice
Using my new Ninja blender (single serving size to-go cup!) I blended up this bad boy.
It’s fall in a glass. Like I’m on a hayride and wearing a sweater.
I guess I can accept the cold weather for smoothies like this
