Monday night before teaching my 3rd and final spin class of the day, I completely wiped out.
I’m talking serious digger.
|That was me, a little Bambi on the ice.
26 people immediately began asking if I was okay.
I was fine, just completely humiliated.
I got back up, brushed it off and ended up teaching a solid class.
Now, no I don’t normally teach 3 spins a day, so yes I’m sure my legs were just very tired. But it definitely posed the larger question of… If you fall how do you react? How do you get back up?
On top of getting a nasty bruise from this fall, I’ve had an off couple of weeks. Felt a little not myself, been a bit blue. Maybe it’s the craziness of my schedule right now or the fact that I’m having a minor mid-twenties, almost late-twenties (oh, gawd) crisis.
What do I want to do with my life? Where do I want to live? We’re talking loaded life questions.
Instead of continue to stress and freak myself out, I’ve decided to create prospective. Give myself options. Never rule anything out. And that’s how I pick myself back up.
I must peel back the reasons why
I’ve felt this down and out and start being productive. Being the visual learner I am, I am creating a list of all the things I enjoy doing. Think of it as a ‘perfect world scenario’. This will allow me to filter through aspects of my life that are simply taking up time and not enhancing my future.
I realize this is somewhat heavy for a TTT post, but I think it’s fitting. And heck, when I was shaving my legs yesterday and saw my bruised knee I knew I had to tell y’all about it.
SO now it’s your turn. Whether it be a bad breakup, workout or interview…
How do YOU pick yourself back up when you fall?
