The Pru & You: Free Fitness Classes Plus a Prize [Ended]

Wanna know what sounds like a blast? Taking a fitness class at the Prudential Center — outside.

It’s been a toasty summer which means you’ll be that much more flexible for those downward dogs and warrior poses. Like hot yoga, but outside. With a breeze.

The series is called FIT on the Garden.

Every Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. until August 31st MoveWith and the Pru are hosting these FREE classes for the community. You’ll be led by a variety of talented Boston fit pros with your choice of yoga or pilates: each class is held outside on the South Garden.

So really though, what’s your excuse?

On top of free fitness (whoop, whoop) I’m giving away a ‘Prudential Center FIT prize pack’ valued at $75. It includes gift cards and/or swag …. Hint, hint: retailers may include Sweetgreen, FlyWheel, Lulu, etc.

Big News & Namastes

It’s no surprise I love yoga.

Even upon starting this blog, one of my first ‘trend’ pieces revolved around hot yoga and my adventures in partaking in a self-made 30-day challenge. One word: sweaty.

Although many have asked if I would ever become a teacher of this practice, I decline respectfully because — right now in my life — I really, really enjoy just being a student.

Who knows, that could certainly change in the future, but for now the art of unrolling my mat and embracing the 60-90 minutes where I don’t have to speak is both a luxury that I’m not willing to tamper with.

THE NEWS. I know, you’re on the edge of your seat, so I’ll get to it.

Two things I love: Social media and yoga. So you know what’s a perfect combo? Working as a social media strategist for a non-profit yoga company that focuses on raising funds to provide resources, research and education for the health of children.

Yoga Reaches Out has chapters in many cities including the Bay Area, New England, South Carolina, Connecticut and Albany, NY. Each event is structured as a yoga-thon and is held at incredible locations such as Gillette Stadium for New England. From live music to inspirational instructors, the entire day is one you’ll never forget.

I am SO insanely excited to work with this company and help spread the word about this event.

Register as an individual, sign up with a team of friends or co-workers … the possibilities are endless. And FYI my Bay Area friends … Since you’re event is on Sunday, YRO is now offering half-day passes at $60 and full-day passes for $108. Walk-ins are welcome to purchase tickets at the door.
